Spanky's New Frames

Here is a picture of Jenna in her new pair of glasses at the zoo. They make her look a bit grown up. We decided to go to the zoo shortly after I was laid off to get away from our troubles. We had to go at least one time while we were here. It was a fun day out and we think the kids had fun. Jenna needed glasses for reading and writing but doesn't need to wear them all the time, which is nice. She likes them a lot and will only need to wear them for another 5 years or so due to her astigmatisms.

Changes in Life

Wow, it has been a while. That's my bad. We have been a little out of it lately. So, the reason we moved to CA is no more. I lost my job a few weeks ago and it has been an interesting few weeks. I am on the job hunt and I'm hoping to find something soon. Stephanie and I have noticed that the cost of living is a lot better in Utah compared to CA, so we may be looking at heading home, since we still own our home in Springville (lucky us). California has been an experience to remember and we aren't looking at this as a failure. Jenna and Liam are doing very well. The kids keep us happy and on our toes. The best thing that has happened for us in CA is the birth of our little boy. He is really handsome and loves to smile. So the job search is on and we'll keep everyone informed of what is happening. I hope to keep this updated more often! If you are on Facebook, let us know. We'll post soon!

In Memoriam

Today would have been my grandmother's 89th birthday. She passed away in July of 2007 and has been missed ever since. I think of my grandmother a lot and hope she is looking down on my little family. The one thing I will always remember about Grandma McMullin was that she was always happy. I know she loved my wife and daughter very much and was a wonderful influence to me. Today also marked the day we blessed Liam in church. I could tell he liked it so much because he was screaming most of the way through it. Anyway, it has been a fun and crazy week making it back from Christmas. We were able to spend it in Southern CA this year and everything wen well. It is sad to see another Christmas come and go so quickly. We hope everyone had a nice Holiday and wish you all a Happy New Year! We'll post soon.

Liam is Home!

We have had a lot of fun with Liam in his first week home. He is doing well sleeping periodically through the night and letting Mom and Dad get some sleep. Grandma McMullin came up from Southern CA to help with the transition home and we have had some help around the ward with friends extending some assistance, which we are truely thankful for. Jenna has been a wonderful big sister and she can't get over how cute the little guy is (runs in the family!). He is even cute when he screams and crys. We were just glad he didn't have a huge dome, like his old man. Here is a nice little 30 second cameo of Liam and he is actually opening his eyes for the third time this week. Enjoy the show!

Happy Birthday!!

Today marked the day a new addition came into our family. We are excited to announce the birth of our son to our little family. Even though he came over 3 weeks early (24 days!), he is fine, healthy, and we're excited he is finally here. He is a cute little guy as well and looks a lot like big sister. So far, his first day has been a quiet one and he has barely opened his eyes. We're guessing he has dark blue eyes but has an adaquate amount of strawberry blond colored hair. He weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces and is 19 and 1/2 inches long. All fingers and toes are accounted for as well. We think Jenna is excited to have him in the family and should be a wonderful big sister and help to our family. We are so blessed to have this little guy join our family and can't wait to bring him home on the next few days. Here is a picture of Daddy, Jenna and the little guy on the happy birthday.

Happy Halloween!!

Today was Halloween and Jenna dressed up as a good witch. Stephanie dressed up as a pregnant woman (scary!) and I went out as Jenna's dad. We had a fun night of trick or treating and Jenna brought home a lot of candy for daddy to eat! Stephanie was such a trooper as we walked around a large neighborhood and she went the whole way! Tomorrow will mark the month our little guy joins our family. After Stephanie's last visit to the doctor, we have found out that she is already dialated and our baby boy can come any time now. We're pretty excited! Enjoy a picture of Jenna the good witch and we'll post soon!

Harvest Festival

Hi Everybody- Here are a few pics of us at the Harvest Festival in Placerville. This was a lot of fun and they do it every year from September to December. There were a lot of pumpkins and even more apples! Jenna saw this huge pumpkin and we had to take a picture of her next to it. Over 1100 pounds! That's a ton of pumpkin pie. We went to a place called the Fudge Factory which had a lot of goodies and many different kinds of fudge. It was a neat atmosphere and a fun Saturday out. The weather was perfect and we're getting ready for our first fall season in California. We can't believe we have already been here 3 weeks! We hope everyone is safe and happy. We'll post soon!
